Thinking you might need to cancel your Ripe Motorhome policy?
You have a 14 day right to cancel from receipt of your documents, or the start date of your policy, whichever comes first. If your cover has not yet commenced, you will be entitled to a refund of the premium and administration fee paid. If your cover has commenced, you will be entitled to a refund of the premium, subject to a proportionate deduction for time on cover, or £25, whichever is the greater, on condition that no claims have been made, are pending, or you are not aware of any incidents which may give rise to a claim.
You may also cancel outside of 14 days, and you may be entitled to a refund if paying annually, or you may be required to pay the premium due if paying monthly, based on time on cover and your policy arrangement fee.
For example, if time on cover is over 150 days there will be no refund due if paying annually, and full payment will be required if paying monthly. For less than 150 days there is a sliding scale, with the relevant percentage of the premium due still being applicable when paying monthly.
This information is fully detailed within Page 8 of the Insurance Booklet.
As per the Insurance Booklet, the amount due at the date of cancellation is as follows:
| Days on Cover | Refund of Premium |
| 15 - 30 days on cover | 70% of annual premium |
| 31 - 60 days on cover | 55% of annual premium |
| 61 - 90 days on cover | 40% of annual premium |
| 91 - 120 days on cover | 25% of annual premium |
| 121 - 150 days on cover | 10% of annual premium |
| Over 150 days on cover | No refund |
